Individuals

Counselling in Penticton & Okanagan Area

My work with individuals is based on the premise that issues such as anxiety, depression, low self-worth, and relationship problems are usually due to a lack of skill sets, not to pathology. Most of us have never been taught how to guide our focus and thoughts, how to communicate effectively, how to create realistic expectations and how to take effective action.

I teach people the perspectives and tools to help create a life they love — or at least a life they can live with!

What to expect:

To roll up your sleeves and get to work! Expect homework including reading. Expect to be stretched. Expect to be held accountable for your experience. Our work together may not go on long. Depending on your budget, we might see each other weekly, then every other week, then eventually taper down to once every month or two. We could eventually spread out our visits over a longer period of time to help ensure new ways of perceiving, thinking and behaving have become more of a habit–and your new default setting.

 Goals:

To teach you the skill set which allows you to not just survive your life, but, ultimately, to thrive–perhaps in spite of your circumstances.
